Interactive learning & game prototypes · Spain / remote

Make it playable.
Make it teach.

I turn learning ideas into browser games, interactive practice and useful teaching tools. I bring 16 years of music teaching to game mechanics, learning design and product QA—with AI-assisted development and hands-on review.

Three ways to make
learning tangible.

Working software, with clear boundaries between a public product, a playable prototype and a future classroom trial.

01 / Game mechanics & participation

Music Knockout
& the race prototype

How can a group practise a skill, get useful feedback and stay involved after elimination?

I designed and built a presenter-led browser tournament: anonymous teams, server-controlled scores, listening and rhythm challenges, and continuing audience play. The classroom preset starts with melody matching, sequence recall and drum-pattern repair.

Built with
TypeScript · React · Colyseus/WebSockets · PixiJS · Web Audio. The separate race preview uses Phaser.
Evidence
Recorded local validation: 211 automated tests and a 12-client classroom simulation. The practice screen was checked again on 23 October.
Current scope
Multiplayer runs locally. The public race below uses simulated rivals; multiplayer integration is in progress. No pupil or teacher playtest yet.

Prima Vista
Sight-reading studio

How do you generate fresh practice without losing control of difficulty or musical sense?

I built an independently authored exercise generator, notation and playback workflow, with nine piano levels and 40 focused skill introductions. Learners can change key, meter and length, listen, save a study and prepare one skill at a time.

Built with
JavaScript modules · ABCJS notation · Web Audio · browser local storage.
Evidence
All 36 generator and curriculum tests passed on 23 October, including notation/playback agreement and saved-score compatibility. Generation and playback controls were also checked in the browser.
Current scope
Standalone demo for generation, playback and guided practice. Saves stay on this device. Microphone recording is omitted here; learner testing is still ahead.

Try this: select level 2, generate a study, then choose “Prepare for this level”.

Music Lessons
Ireland

How do you connect a lesson, the next practice task and evidence of progress?

I built the public teaching site and a teacher-to-student workflow connecting lessons, structured journeys, practice and a private Student Toolbox. The design distinguishes completed activities from evidence of a musical skill.

Built with
Next.js · React · TypeScript · Supabase/Postgres · Vitest · Playwright.
Teaching context
Draws on 16 years teaching children and adults, including Music Generation from 2018–2025. These are teaching credentials, not evidence of software impact.
Current scope
The public site is live. Teacher and student areas need access; newer reading/practice integrations remain local. No learning-outcome or adoption figures claimed.

Also in the toolkit

Practice player.
Small details, useful habits.

My local Stem Practice Studio supports A–B loops, saved phrases, synchronized stem playback and repeat routines with a speed ladder. The JavaScript/Web Audio player connects to a local Python audio service. Focused player, phrase-session and audio-buffer checks passed on 23 October; hardware, microphone and MIDI behavior still need separate device checks.

A useful first contract

Start with one
clear deliverable.

I’m available for small paid projects in games, EdTech and interactive learning, working remotely from Spain.

01 / Prototype a mechanic

One browser interaction, understandable rules and feedback, and a reviewable build.

02 / Review a product journey

Reproducible issues, friction in instructions and controls, and prioritized QA findings.

03 / Shape a learning sequence

Turn one objective into practice, progression and a concrete learner-testing plan.

Have a small brief in mind?

Let’s make the next
interaction work.
