About Music Lessons Ireland
Music Lessons Ireland provides live one-to-one piano, guitar and ukulele lessons online with Jack Duignan. The website also provides information about lessons and, for continuing students, access to a private Student Toolbox.
The free trial
- The trial is a genuine 30-minute online music lesson and costs €0.
- Submitting the form is a request, not an automatic booking. A time is agreed directly.
- No card is required and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.
- A trial may be rearranged if availability, illness, technology or another reasonable circumstance requires it.
Paid lessons and prices
A paid lesson arrangement begins only when the family and Jack agree the lesson option, schedule and payment arrangements. Current headline prices are:
- Term-based lessons: €25 per 30-minute lesson.
- Four-week block: €30 per 30-minute lesson.
- 60-minute lessons: double the corresponding 30-minute price.
Any different arrangement will be confirmed before payment. Prices may change for future bookings, but an agreed booking will not be changed retrospectively.
Children and lesson setup
A parent or guardian must make arrangements for a child. Families are responsible for a suitable instrument, device, internet connection, Zoom access and a safe place to learn. For younger students, an adult should be available where reasonably needed for setup and support.
Joining lessons
Families should join at the agreed time with the instrument ready. Online lessons depend on internet and device performance. If a serious technical problem prevents a lesson, Jack and the family will make a reasonable effort to resolve, continue, reschedule or credit the affected time as appropriate.
Student Toolbox
Toolbox links and lesson materials are intended for the relevant student and family. Private links should not be published or shared outside the household. Families should tell Jack promptly if a link has been shared accidentally so it can be replaced.
Learning and results
Jack will provide the lesson service with reasonable care and skill. Musical progress depends on many factors, including attendance, practice and the student's individual circumstances, so no particular exam result, grade or rate of progress is guaranteed.
Lesson materials
Original teaching materials, website content and Student Toolbox content remain the property of their respective owners. Families may use materials supplied for the student's personal learning, but may not sell, republish or distribute them without permission.
Full-term bookings and payment
Before payment, the family receives a written summary showing the students, included lesson dates, rate and full-term total. A term place is confirmed only when the parent or guardian accepts that summary and the required Stripe payment succeeds.
Where instalments are offered, they divide the price of one full-term booking; they do not turn the arrangement into separate pay-as-you-go bookings. The amount and due date of every instalment must be shown before the parent accepts the arrangement.
Cancellations
The cancellation and lesson policyforms part of these terms. Unless the written term summary provides a more favourable arrangement, a family withdrawing from a confirmed term should give at least 30 calendar days' written notice. Any amount charged for that period is limited to reserved lessons and must account for loss reasonably avoided, including if the place is filled. This does not apply so as to limit a statutory cancellation right or remedy for a service problem.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under Irish consumer law. Services must be supplied as agreed and with the standards required by law.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated for future use of the website or future bookings. Irish law applies, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that also apply.
Questions
Use the signup/contact page to ask a question before booking. Adding a question does not commit you to a lesson.
